WHAT IS A SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT?

The District is a local government organization established under MN State Statute 103C.  Their broad charge is to protect public health, safety, and welfare through soil and water conservation. Functions include leadership, coordination and services.

Lake of the Woods SWCD was established in 1952.
